Miami Heats Jimmy Butler to Return Monday Against the hot bubble T.J. Warren and Indiana Pacers


The Miami Heat star forward Jimmy Butler has missed the team’s last three games due to injury, but it all points to butler returning to action on Monday when the Heat take on the Indiana Pacers, as per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Butler’s return will be a significant one as the Heat has gone 1-2 in his absence, winning against the Boston Celtics while falling to the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns. Monday’s game will also boost the Heats bench by also getting Goran Dragic back into the lineup. Dragic has missed the last two games after sustaining a foot injury.

Monday’s contest between the Heat and Pacers will be exciting for several reasons. Both clubs stand currently at 43-27, putting them clamped for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat, however, holds the tiebreaker over the Pacers.

It will furthermore be the first moment the two teams have competed since the January contest when Butler and Pacers forward T.J. Warren got into two different confrontations, the second of which was when Warren got thrown out from the game.

Subsequently, after that game, Butler proceeded to appoint Warren game “trash” and chose to take a shot at him on social media.

So far this season, Butler has averaged over 20.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Bubble Warren has bumped his average to over 34 points on a scalding 60.5% shooting, comprising of 55.6% from the 3 point line.

Monday’s anticipated game is slated to tip-off at 8 p.m. EST.
