A sense of optimism about the NBA season and its current state seems to be growing. The league has allowed practice facilities to reopen in areas with relaxed-stay-at-home guidelines; although with strict social distancing protocols.
Among the teams hopeful they can have their players continue working out are the Los Angeles Lakers, who are reportedly eyeing May 16th, 2020 as the date they can return to their practice facility, The Athletic’s Shams Carania reported.
Lakers are hopeful to open facility then — and will continue working with the appropriate government and health officials to ensure safety for players and staff during the fluid coronavirus situation. https://t.co/0xw2sblPKy

But in order to do so, the Lakers will have to follow a set of rules put forth by the league. These rules include:
- No more than four player in the facility at any one time
- Players may participate however coaches are not allowed
- Group related activities are prohibited, including practices and scrimmage
The Lakers are currently number one in the Western Conference with a 49 – 14 record.
