The Brooklyn Nets have discussed the possibility of trading for a third star. The organization has discussed internally about trading for Wizards guard Bradley Beal.
Beal was arguably the biggest all-star snub during this season. He averaged 30 points a game, as well as dishing out six assists. He is an offensive star who sometimes struggles defensively.
The Nets are going to have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving healthy at the start of the 2021 season and want to bolster their roster to make a championship run. Forming a big 3 is a good start to building a championship squad.
On the Nets side of course, they need the Wizards to be willing to deal Beal. The trade would most likely be built around Caris Levert and Jarrett Allen, two solid young players. The Wizards are getting John Wall back next season, and may want to see how him and Beal work together before shipping him off somewhere else.
If the Nets were to complete this trade, they would immediately become serious title contenders, and possibly be the favorite team to come out of the eastern conference. If the Miami Heat were still hoping to land Beal, they may have their hands full.
